Diverse Voices in the Curriculum: Opportunities and Challenges
This panel will address planning for the next BEA Latin America, with plans for it to be hosted by Catholic University and the Javeriana University in Bogotá, Colombia. Panelists will discuss opportunities and challenges for the next conference and the related creative and research partnerships between U.S. and Latin America educators. However, the panel will more broadly demonstrate how students and faculty can have a more engaging experience through a variety of opportunities that include diverse voices. Part of bringing in Spanish language media to BEA members is about the cross cultural experience, so we will discuss the past and future Latin America conferences, but other panelists will take us further in the panel by addressing ways to incorporate a variety of diversity initiatives across the curriculum in our academic programs on each of our campuses.
