Lisa Pecot-Hébert, Ph.D. has been teaching at the college level for 20 years. She teaches a variety of print, broadcast and multimedia undergraduate and graduate courses and serves as the director of graduate journalism at USC Annenberg. Lisa also serves as the advisor for the USC National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Chapter. Prior to working at USC, she spent nine years at DePaul University in Chicago and taught for four years at Xavier University in New Orleans. Lisa has been a staff writer at the Dallas Morning News, The New Orleans Tribune and examiner.com. She recently served two years as the West Coast bureau chief for Youth Today and the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange (JJIE), two online publications dedicated to youth education and juvenile justice issues.
